Man Utd news: Gareth Southgate reveals he was influenced in Ashley Young call up

GARETH SOUTHGATE says he recalled Ashley Young to his England set-up because Manchester United managers have always trusted him.

The wing-back has been a permanent figure at Old Trafford since making the £17.5million switch from Aston Villa in 2011.
Young has  played under five different managers at United but always retained his spot in the team.
Alex Ferguson, David Moyes, Ryan Giggs (caretaker), Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho have all entrusted the 32-year-old with a staring spot.
And his performances have finally earned him his first England call up in five years.
